A DISCOURSE WHICH WILL DESCRIBE THE EXPERIENCE OF GOD CLARIFYING  THE CONCEPT OF DIVINITY

EXPERIENCING GOD

MAN EXPERIENCING GOD:

I have been experiencing the presence of God since my early childhood. God appeared in my mind long before  I started to go to school and learned  alphabets. “He” appeared as a kind of “whispering” in the mind - someone was accompanying me as an invisible presence outside the perceivable world. The companion said “he” was inside me as well pervaded all what I saw in the world. When I watched the birds jump from branches to branches he said “come and play with me”; when the leaves of the trees moved with the breeze he said “I am hiding here”; when the sun dazzled  in the sky he said “I am flying up here”. He became an invisible friend, who remained hidden from all. He only appeared in the inner realm of the mind.

As I grew up He started marking his presence through words and images which came from my own mind. While writing about deep thoughts or poems,  I felt the surge of His “hands” as my words and thoughts, which were not  known to me. When I first got my colors and brushes He often took it over from my hands and showed me an inner world in colors and form from where he was speaking to me. The  art works which he created did not resemble much the world I saw in the real world. They appeared ghostly with distorted faces wearing many eyes which were looking at the side of the world where I existed.

I was born and brought up in a family where no one believed in ghost, spirit or God. I was instead introduced with the ideas of Marxism and existentialism at an early age. No God existed in any corner of our house. God only existed in my mind as a faithful companion, who never departed me in spite of the stark disbelief in our family in the existence of anything supernatural outside the realm of science. Soon I started promoting myself as an young existentialist, dreaming to bring changes of the conditions of freedom of human life. I received inspiration from political philosopher like Hegel, Marx and Jean Paul Sartre.

One day things turned very weird. By an accident I joined a spirit calling session arranged by some friends. The deceased spirits were supposed to appear and speak and foretell about the future events. The inner being took this opportunity of spirit calling session to drag me deep into the realm of a ghostly world.  Since then he appeared as automatic writings flowing through my hands. The messages from the inner companion appeared as written texts of the existentialist.

This became the beginning of a turbulent time in my life. As a scientist in profession I faced a world which contradicted science and could not be reconciled with scientific ways of thinking. I was split between two different worlds at the same time - neither of these two worlds I could reject. Both appeared equally real and true. This intense period of conflicts, following submission to the inner companion, then doubting about His existence and then again submitting to Him and again revolting again...., became a way of living for a period. During this time I gained self-knowledge, and cleaned the mind of stereotype concepts about divinity which had still  filled my mind.

During this phase of life the companion had appeared as a “spiral” moving  in inner realm of the mind.  He moved and wrote in the “inner sphere”in very clear and convincing language, which even the most doubtful soul could not reject. This dilemma came to an end creating an even greater turmoil: Our only son died in an mysterious accident over the Alps. His death brought renewal to my life. The inner companion appeared as the Guide of the Soul and accompanied me in a journey through different realms of consciousness. In each realm he explained the meaning of freedom and the point behind the journey as a part of the universal cosmic man.

When mind calmed down and I started seeing new frontiers of existence which had remained closed to the mind, I returned to science again in order to understand the mystery creation of the universe. This led me to see God existing in all creations. The profoundness of the mystery overwhelmed all capacity of the human mind to grasp such a wonder. Confronting the cosmos I transformed.

You, who has found home in God tell me how should a man of flesh and blood should understand these experiences as I have described?

ENLIGHTENED MAN:

God is manifest everywhere as you have known. However, “He” is not a man of flesh or blood, or anything which can be formed by using the material constituents of the world which you see in physical form. God is immanent as the force which creates all but not one with the immanent world as you see and observe. God can not be observed as science would like to observe all existing things. One can only know about the presence of God through the realm where Man-God exists conveying the nature of His being.

God does not relate to the world as one human being relates to another human being, or any living creature relates to other living creatures. The relations exiting in the living and the non-living worlds are bound by the existence of the will, which emerges from the world, which is not one with God. God`s will surpasses all wills of the living and the non-living worlds. His will  sets all existence in their destined paths.

The experience, you have described, is a story of awakening of the mind from a deep slumber to an enlightened state. On birth the body is bound to the laws of the nature and the will of the world moving as the foundation of mind of the conscious beings. The process of life opens new realities of the world and the will which the living beings must cope with. Those beings, who have been able to free themselves from the bondage of the world and will, and attained self-knowledge as one with All, may see the horizon of the realm of God.

However, God does not speak to man. God appears in the mind of the chosen souls, who belong to the realm closer to God i.e. between Man and God. Your experience of God is not an experience of any ordinary man. You are chosen by God to receive His messages. You are not chosen because of any merit or luck, or any reason man can understand, but you exist as willed by God, who has chosen to reveal Himself in you.

In no language and method of science, the existence of God, which you experience as a phenomenon appearing in the mind, can be tested and verified, beyond the limit of the existence of mind verifiable by the subjects themselves. Mind is a power which acts as the will to act, and create material events in the world, which can be tested and verified by the methods of science. The presence of will in the world generates movements in the world. So will can be tested and confirmed. However, the realm, which does not belong to the will of man, and has its existence outside the realm of the material sphere, can not be tested and verified in the same way. The way you have been expecting the existence of God to be proved is an immature way of conceiving God and his nature. The language, logic and structures of thoughts, with which man constructs the description of reality, are bound to experiences and thoughts belonging to the world and the will where the world is causally bound. The will can be seen as an illusion, or image of the world without permanence and attuned to the will of knowing and seeing according to one`s needs and satisfaction. God is above such illusory world.

God reveals to man when he wills to do so.  He has sent His messages through you in order to move the world and will-bound world to the path of God. Do not doubt the existence of God. Submit to His Will and act as he has destined.

REVELATION OF GOD

MAN EXPERIENCING GOD:

God has spoken first in a clumsy language and ways which was not always so clear  to the mind that I could understand their meaning immediately. Those words  always followed movement of spiral forms in the mind, often left the signs of the triple spiral as the proof of the divine presence.  After I learned to comprehend the world with new concepts and got a better grasp of the way the Divine communicates, the thoughts became more structured and the messages flew more easily and clearly. However, the messages  often used enigmatic language which needed interpretation to make sense to the rational mind. Under the scrutiny of reason which functions in the will-borne reality of the world, I could decipher meanings behind the  enigmatic language and thus conduct dialogue with God. Finally it became so normal that it became a part of the process of the mind belonging to a different realm beyond the realm of reason and the normal mental processes which define the will of man.

You who know the mystery of God, tell me how such messages arrive to my mind and become the words of God?

ENLIGHTENED MAN:

As I have said God can not speak directly to man by using the will and thoughts of man. God speaks through enlightened souls who are closer to God. These intermediaries have the power and abilities to receive the messages of God. The words spoken by God are the words which appear in the minds of these enlightened beings. These words form in their mind by the will of God and not by following the will of man, who is bound to the world and thoughts. The will of man is conditioned by the events of the world occurring around the living and non-living beings. But the will of God exists outside this impermanent world existing in will and form.

Man can not understand the words of God unless these words refer to human experiences and knowledge. The messages of God take shape in the minds of the enlightened beings who communicate with God. The messages take forms of language, and receive meaning decipherable by the human mind in the mind of the enlightened beings who also knows the language of the world and the will of man. They can enter the will of man as well as transcends the will of man as willed by God. Thus, through these messengers God sends the messages of the Divine world which can be understood by man.

In the beginning the human mind, bound to the world and the will,  gets confused in facing a realm which is strange and outside the realm of knowledge and experiences of man. Once the confusion settles down the enlightened mind acts as a mirror to reflect the Divine world. They reflect the messages across the barrier of the will-bound  sphere.

MAN EXPERIENCING GOD:

What is the role of reason in understanding God?

ENLIGHTENED MAN:

God can not be understood with reason because the reason is the power of the mind to analyze relations existing in the world and create foundations of the work in the world according to the principles on which the reason is based. Reason is tied to the will of man and governed by the goal to accommodate the sphere of the living where matter moves following principles and laws. God is not bound to any law or principles which govern the motions of the world. All move in God, but God remains unmoved by the events of the world. Therefore through reasoning one can never understand the mystery of God.

God is revealed to the enlightened mind as a mystery which can not be understood by reason. It is so willed by God. However, without a framework of the will, where reason exists in the world, it is not possible to talk about the nature of God and what God may want to communicate. Reason acts as a lens which can make things sharper and clearer when one looks at the diffuse and effusive experiences of the human mind in confronting the realm of the Divine. The unknown and the unseen take shape according to how one reasons, and how one attempts to unveil the mystery of the Divine in words, images or by any other means. Every understanding of anything must accompany language and thoughts, which are bound to the world where will manifests. And consequently reason intervenes in the process of understanding the experiences occurring in the world. When reason is switched off, the experiences become jumbled up in non-verbal pathways. It becomes the domain of silence instead. So when one wishes to speak of God, and wishes to communicate about the nature of God, the reason has its place.

So every description of God suffers from the fault of reason and conceptions of the world the human mind bears. With increasing awareness of the mind and access of the mind to higher spheres which may transcend the logical bounds of the traditional languages and constraints of the worldly experiences, like music and meditation for example, the understanding of God may become sharper and clearer. Enlightened mind does not wish to understand God. It wishes to  be released from the bondage of the world and the will and become one with God.

So do not cling to reason. Cling to higher awareness  of the mind and submit the will to the will of God. Believe that God communicates with the world through enlightened minds who are neither tied to the movements of the will and the world, nor free from the human sphere.

MAN EXPERIENCING GOD:

Please summarize in short about the nature of  God.

ENLIGHTENED MAN:

Divine is not one with the world and the will, and therefore can not be described in the language one uses to describe the nature of matter and life, which are caused by the forces of nature. Body is form and mind is formless development of the world and the will, which move and act in the world. Divine does not move and act in the same way. When matter and mind work they follow principle and laws, which help things to survive, evolve and decay following prescribed  paths. They possess no power to defy the laws and principles to act against the forces driving the movements of the world and the will in the destined ways.

Will of God works in the mind of those who work for the movement of God.  Divine moves in the the enlightened mind in order to set the will and the world to move in a path as willed by God.  Movement of God is not any movement which can be described as something moving or not-moving. Born as man one can not grasp the movement of God because movement assumes the existence of objects and causes. God is not causally tied to the world. He does not move as objects move under force. He moves in the Divine realm in order to guide the world and the will to move according to the will of God.

Divine can not be grasped as a force working or not-working on something which man can perceive or  know about. Working in the world means impinging on objects in the world and causing chains of events thereof. God does not cause such causal chains. Chains, which bind the world and the will, are created by the forces of nature, and nature derives these forces  from the existence of the will and the mind.  Divine can not work as such a force, or does not work as no-force as well.

The force imparts motions on things, or works on bodies which act and work against other bodies in order to  make them move. Divine is formless, forceless, and does not act as will of the destiny-bound world. He is no-being, and no-mind whom man can ever conceive. One can only know about  the presence of God when He appears in the enlightened minds, who are the messengers of  the Divine.

These messengers can relate to the realm of God, and receive the words of the Divine as movement of God in their supra-natural minds. Though bound in the world and the will, like all others, these enlightened beings can transcend the world and the will, and communicate with God. Like a mirror they can reflect the illumination coming from God, and make the messages  available to man as words of God. This is how God acts and moves in the world and the will where all existence are bound.

Divine is present in all and everywhere, though He is not one with the world and the will, which is the foundation of all existence. His existence has no boundary in space or time. He can not be conceived in any dimension and form. He is sink and source of all energies, which are foundation of existence of the universe and the cosmic mind. He feels not, touches not, sees not,  smells not, or tastes not anything in the world which brings birth, annihilation and regeneration of all. He is no-being. He is unborn, unseen and unverifiable by any method known to man.

Divine is the source of consciousness and the power source from where all consciousness arise. However by conscious efforts it is not possible to reach the realm of God.  God manifests in the enlightened minds when He wills to reveal His messages to the world. There is no other way to know God but to hear about God from His messengers.

Try not to understand God: Know Him as working and not-working, as force and no-force, as foundation of the will and the world, and no-will and no-world. It is not possible to know more beyond what  I have described.
